Definition
ODP per GDP is derived by dividing the consumption of ozone-depleting substances by GDP based on the constant 2005 PPP figures from WDI. Annual consumption in weighted tons of the individual substances in the group of ozone-depleting substances multiplied by their ozone-depleting potential (ODP). Ozone-depleting substances are those containing chlorine or bromine that destroy the stratospheric ozone layer.
